As a non-profit organization, GTAAG does not donate any money to politicians or political parties. We are a watchdog organization that strives to inform the Turkish-American community about the actions and views of our legislators and that sponsors projects which advance the understanding of Turks, Turkey, and Turkish history among not just legislators, but the general American public as well. Anyone desiring to contribute to a politician or legislator should do so directly. GTAAG humbly requests your financial support so that we can fund our projects - such as prizes for our essay competition, the purchase of books and films for donation to American libraries and viewing in our film festival, and the publication of informative pamphlets - as well as other operational expenses. Please send any donations for GTAAG to the following address: GA Turkish American Advocacy Group, Inc P.O. Box 942432 Atlanta, GA 31141 All checks should be made payable to "GTAAG, Inc". Thank you for your support. DONATING BOOKS TO AMERICAN PUBLIC LIBRARIES One important means for educating about Turks, Turkey and Turkish issues is through the donation of books to American public libraries (including high schools and middle schools). Below is a list of books that we recommend for donation. Some are available in the US, and some can only be purchased in Turkey. We periodically bring books from Turkey to the US for donation purposes. If you would like to donate books, you may directly purchase and donate a book yourself. Or, we at GTAAG can help facilitate the process by donating a book of your selection in your name: Step 1: Send us an EMAIL to info@gtaag.org with what books you desire to donate. Step 2: Send a check to the above P.O. Box address. Receipt of payment will initiate the donation process. All books will be donated under your name (not that of GTAAG), unless you instruct us otherwise. Upon donation, you will receive an email or letter with the details of what library the book was donated to. List of Recommended Books: (All prices include shipping and handling) Lewy, Guenter.
