Advocacy ABCs

Have you ever felt helpless, angry, or frustrated when you heard bad news directed towards Turks or Turkey?  For example, when Armenians or Greeks lobby for resolutions that spread lies about Turks; or when a newspaper publishes a negative editorial about Turkey; or when your child is harrassed for being Turkish or Muslim at school - have you ever felt lonely and sad that there was nothing you could do to make all this stop?

If so, then I have some good news for you!  There IS a way to respond to occurrences in our society that we don't like:  it's called ADVOCACY!  Advocacy is a concept that everyone living in the United States can - and should - use to epxress their views, fight against injustice, and participate in American democracy!
